Your Career Journey Continues Here

Your Education Is Complete. Your Career Is Just Beginning.

Completing university, technical college, TVET training, or another professional education programme is an important milestone. It represents years of learning, practical preparation, determination, and personal achievement.

But graduation does not always lead immediately to employment.

Some graduates secure their first jobs quickly. Others continue searching, develop additional skills, undertake practical assignments, or explore professional opportunities in industries they had not previously considered.

MidCareer provides a place where that journey can continue.

Through the MyResource ecosystem, graduates can build on their qualifications, develop a professional Career Identity, explore participating employers, attend company seminars, discover certifications, and prepare for opportunities across Kenya's industries.

For those already employed, MidCareer remains relevant as they gain experience, develop new capabilities, and prepare for future career milestones.

Whatever your next step, your career journey deserves continued support.

Self Development & Certification

MidCareer Is Built
on Self Development.

Your career grows when you do. Learn new skills, earn recognised certifications, and keep a record of every step, whether you are looking for your first job or building on years of experience.

Learn

Build new skills through courses, technical training, seminars, and career guides.

Prepare for professional and technical certifications that suit your field. Training providers and awarding bodies are clearly identified.

Practise

Join company seminars, workshops, and practical sessions to apply what you learn.

Record

Certifications strengthen your skills and credibility. They do not guarantee a job or a promotion.

Graduation Is a Milestone, Not the Finish Line

The Transition From Education
to Employment Takes Different Paths.

Every graduate enters professional life with a different combination of knowledge, practical experience, qualifications, and career interests.

University Graduate

A university graduate may be preparing for a career in finance, engineering, healthcare, education, technology, or business.

TVET Graduate

A TVET graduate may be ready to apply technical skills in electrical installation, automotive technology, manufacturing, construction, hospitality, or industrial maintenance.

College Graduate

A college graduate may have completed professional or technical training relevant to administration, ICT, accounting, business operations, or other fields.

These educational pathways are different, but they share an important objective: helping individuals develop capabilities that can contribute to meaningful work.

MidCareer recognizes these differences and provides a continuing environment in which graduates can explore opportunities suited to their education, skills, experience, and interests.

Your qualifications are an important foundation. What you build upon them becomes your professional journey.

What If You Haven't Found Your First Job?

Your Professional Development

These experiences should not be forgotten after graduation.

Career Identity is designed to provide a continuing record of education, professional experience, projects, skills, qualifications, and achievements.

Where supported by the connected services and appropriate account permissions, relevant information from earlier career activities can contribute to the individual's continuing professional record.

Graduates whose institutions are not connected to the ecosystem can also begin creating their professional records directly through MidCareer.

One Permanent Career Identity Number

Following successful identity verification, a professional can receive a permanent Career Identity Number, known as a CIN. The number identifies the career record across supported services but does not function as a password or provide access to private documents.

A Record That Grows

As graduates gain employment, complete projects, develop specialist skills, and earn additional qualifications, they can continue updating their Career Identity.

Professional Credibility

Eligible qualifications and career facts can be supported by appropriate institutional verification or professional references.

Your professional record can begin before the first job and continue throughout your career.

Showcase Your Qualifications and Practical Experience

Employers Need to Understand
More Than Your Certificate.

Qualifications are important, but employers may also want to understand how candidates can apply their knowledge.

A graduate may have completed academic projects, industrial training, laboratory work, field assignments, internships, or practical assessments that demonstrate relevant capabilities.

MidCareer encourages individuals to record and explain these experiences accurately.

University Graduates

Include academic qualifications, final-year projects, internships, research activities, and relevant practical assignments.

TVET and Technical College Graduates

Record technical qualifications, industrial attachments, workshop experience, practical assessments, tools, machinery, and relevant trade skills.

Professional College Graduates

Include certificates, diplomas, professional training, workplace exposure, projects, and relevant industry skills.

Graduates With Informal or Independent Experience

Relevant projects, self-employment, voluntary activities, and independently developed skills may also contribute to a professional profile when described accurately.

The objective is not to exaggerate experience. It is to help employers understand the capabilities candidates have genuinely developed.

Experience deserves recognition, including the experience gained before formal employment.

Build Professional Credibility Through Verification

Let Your Qualifications
Be Supported by Evidence.

When applying for employment, graduates may be asked to provide academic certificates, transcripts, professional references, or other supporting information.

Career Identity is designed to make the origin and verification status of relevant career information clearer.

Identity Verification

A successful identity check allows an individual to receive a permanent CIN.

Academic Qualification Verification

Eligible university qualifications can be submitted for confirmation through participating university registrars.

Professional References

Relevant individuals can provide confirmation of specific career facts through the supported reference or endorsement processes.

Evidence Labels

Career information can be distinguished as self-declared, candidate-confirmed, university-verified, or reference-verified.

Career Identity Strength

A five-level indicator can show how well the professional record is supported by available evidence.

Digital Career Identity Card

A CIN and QR code can be used to confirm permitted identity and verification information without exposing underlying private documents.

Verification pathways for TVET institutions, colleges, and other awarding bodies should be supported as eligible integrations are developed.

Professional credibility begins with accurate information and clear evidence of what has been verified.

Discover Careers Across Kenya

Your First Career Opportunity May Be
in an Industry You Haven't Yet Explored.

Get to Know Employers Before Applying

A Career Connection Can Begin
With a Company Seminar.

Graduates may know the names of major employers without fully understanding what those organizations do or which professional capabilities they require.

Through MyResource, participating companies can introduce their industries, technologies, operations, projects, and career opportunities.

These activities can help graduates learn about employers before preparing job applications.

Company Seminars

Learn about organizations and their industry activities.

Career Fairs

Discover participating employers and available professional pathways.

Technical Workshops

Explore practical technologies, business systems, tools, and industry methods.

Employer Presentations

Understand relevant professional roles and workplace expectations.

Virtual Career Sessions

Participate in online events where available.

These activities can be valuable even when a company does not have an immediate vacancy.

The first step toward an employer may be understanding the organization, not submitting a CV.

Strengthen Your Career With Certifications

Keep Building Skills
After Graduation.

Formal education provides an important foundation, but professional development continues as industries and technologies evolve.

Graduates may benefit from specialist qualifications, digital skills, technical training, professional examinations, or learning opportunities connected to particular career paths.

Through Learning Partners, MidCareer helps professionals discover relevant educational programmes.

Technology and Digital Skills

Software Engineering, AI, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, and Enterprise Systems.

Finance and Professional Qualifications

Accounting, Banking, Investment, Audit, Procurement, and Project Management.

Technical and Vocational Development

Advanced electrical systems, industrial maintenance, automation, technical safety, and relevant trade qualifications.

Business and Management

Communication, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Financial Literacy, and Business Operations.

International Career Preparation

Languages, professional recognition, technical qualifications, and relevant preparation for international employment.

Training opportunities should clearly distinguish free and paid programmes, professional examination preparation, participation certificates, and formal credentials.

Finding Employment With Greater Confidence

Know Who Is Recruiting
Before You Share Your Information.

Graduates often encounter opportunities through company websites, recruitment platforms, professional networks, and informal online channels.

It may not always be easy to establish whether the company behind an advertisement is genuine.

MidCareer aims to connect professionals with participating employers and recruitment partners who meet appropriate verification requirements.

For international opportunities, the platform intends to apply additional scrutiny to company identity, authorized representatives, and recruitment arrangements.

Candidates should also understand that verifying an employer is different from confirming the authenticity of a particular vacancy.

No Candidate Recruitment Fees

Participating recruiters are prohibited from charging candidates for job introductions, interviews, placements, or employment offers through the ecosystem.

Candidate Protection

Professionals should be able to report suspicious recruitment activity, impersonation, and requests for prohibited payments.

Verification helps reduce uncertainty but cannot guarantee employment or eliminate every possible risk.

A first job should begin with an opportunity—not a demand to pay a recruiter.

What Happens After You Find a Job?

Getting Employed Is a Milestone.
Career Development Continues.

Securing a first job is an important achievement, but it is not the end of professional growth.

Over time, new responsibilities, projects, skills, and achievements become part of a professional's experience.
